Autoimmune Conditions

Bay Area Naturopathic Medicine focuses on the systemic inflammation that is associated with the autoimmune process. All types of autoimmune disease are incurable linked by an immune response that results in the body attacking its own tissues. Nonetheless, our treatment strategy aims to determine the inflammation factors, such possible food sensitivities, environmental toxins, underlying infections, and chronic stress, all of which can fuel inflammation leading to autoimmune disease. During the autoimmune process, the immune cells eventually attack certain parts of the body (e.g., thyroid, joints, skin, brain).

Autoimmune Conditions include but not limited to the following:

Grave's Disease

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

Celiac

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Lupus

Multiple Sclerosis

Psoriasis

Scleroderma

Our approach for treatment of the autoimmune patient is to develop a treatment plan that is more of a lifestyle management plan by addressing a patient's digestive health, optimizing detoxification pathways, establishing an anti-inflammatory diet based on known food sensitivities, and treating underlying infections.

While two people may present the same condition, our treatments are individualized and holistic.

Conditions we encounter include, but not limited to the following:

Endocrine Health
Common Complaints
Cardiovascular Health
