Plan for an office visit

• Office visits may last 60-90 minutes or longer, depending on the complexity of your case.
• Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled first appointment to complete a health assessment form. 
• Provide us with any lab results, along with any medications and/or supplements you are currently taking, as well as documentation of medical history, family medical history, a brief review of your organ systems, and an evaluation of previous laboratory results, if applicable.
• Physical exam followed by a treatment plan to address the chief complaint, as well as a plan for long-term healthcare. 

Seeking the guidance of Bay Area Naturopathic Medicine is just one step in your health journey. For a variety of reasons, patients have sought our care, some of which include:

• Diagnosed with a condition by a medical doctor and were unable to find relief through conventional methods;
• Advised they had normal blood tests or normal findings on diagnostic tests but still experiencing health issues; and/or
• Tried the conventional route, as well as holistic route, after seeing multiple doctors, clinics, and practitioners without resolving their health complaints.

Our goal is to find the cause of your complaints, not simply to treat the symptoms, by carefully investigating the possible imbalances in the body. This is achieved through detailed history taking, Chinese medicine assessment, standard and functional laboratory testing, and using customized treatment plans for each individual. In some cases, we will work closely with a current healthcare team to ensure patients have the best care possible.
