What is a ND?

Licensed Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) attend four-year naturopathic medical schools where they are educated in the same medical sciences as MDs and learn the standards of conventional medicine.

NDs diagnose medical conditions similar to MDs but choose a more holistic, integrative treatment approach.

Naturopathic Doctors teach their patients natural treatment therapies such as diet, herbal medicine, homeopathy and lifestyle counseling to enhance the bodies’ natural ability to fight off disease. Because NDs blend both western medical sciences with traditional natural medicine approaches, we are able to treat the person’s disease as well as restore them to their true state of health.

NDs are truly integrative doctors that focus on functional medicine. NDs can order and interpret blood work, often in more detail compared to a MD, order diagnostic imaging studies, perform gynecological examinations, administer nutrient injections and provide IV therapy. They can also prescribe pharmaceutical prescriptions with limitations in the state of California.

While two people may present the same condition, our treatments are individualized and holistic.

Conditions we encounter include, but not limited to the following:

Endocrine Health
Common Complaints
Cardiovascular Health
